Attention Deficit Disorder with or without Hyperactivity

Attention Deficit Disorder with or without Hyperactivity (ADHD) is classified as Neurodevelopmental Disorders, presenting primarily as a constant pattern of heightened inattention, which may or may not manifest itself together with variations in behavior, including hyperactivity, or inadequate impulse management. These symptoms may affect a person's quality of life to a lesser or greater extent, and may limit the learning process, autonomy and school or work performance.

From the Xtraordinary Methodology, in our speech:

We consider the neurobiological bases that can influence a person's well-being, considering these characteristics as natural neurobiological variations that lead to distinctive modes of cognitive processing and behavior.

We take into account both genetic and environmental factors and their interrelation with the person's evolutionary history in order to adapt the intervention individually and taking care of the person's different developmental contexts, both the family member and the school partner.

We design strategies adapted to each case in coordination with the family and the school, which include strategies for concentration, control of impulsivity, management of hyperactivity, self-esteem, academic performance and stability

We reduce the associated stigma by focusing on the strengths of people with ADHD, such as high energy levels, hyperconcentration, superior verbal communication skills and logical reasoning abilities

We offer multidisciplinary services, advocating new lines of intervention according to advances in neuroscience and neuroeducation.

We rely on technology to facilitate re-education and improve academic skills

We accompany the family and the different caregiver environments through counseling and working together
