LEARNING DISORDERS

Dyscalculia

Dyscalculia, also known as a specific learning disorder in mathematical language, represents a significant difficulty in learning or executing mathematical skills that cannot be explained by a general intellectual disability or an inadequate education.

From the Xtraordinary Methodology, in our speech:

We take into account the neurobiological bases that can influence the reading and writing process, such as attention, working memory or spatial vision

We analyze the development of basic capacities for learning, as well as the evolutionary development of the person to guide personalized work objectives

We design strategies adapted to each case, in coordination with the family and the school, which include the use of more intensive visual and tactile resources, game-based teaching and the integration of technologies that facilitate mathematical learning in a more intuitive way for those who face these difficulties.

We take into account the personal and emotional development associated with learning difficulties, promoting self-esteem, well-being and quality of life.

We focus on the qualities and potentialities of the person, that is, we do not focus on the deficit, providing educational approaches that effectively use the variety of human abilities and talents.

We offer multidisciplinary services, advocating new lines of intervention according to advances in neuroscience and neuroeducation.

We rely on technology to facilitate re-education and improve academic skills

We accompany the family and the different caregiver environments through counseling and working together
