LEARNING DISORDERS
Dyslexia
Dyslexia is a learning disorder that affects a person's ability to read, write, and process language effectively. The person with a learning disorder who has difficulty reading and/or writing has difficulty identifying letters, learning phonemes, spelling and decoding words.
From the Xtraordinary Methodology, in our speech:
We consider the neurobiological bases that can influence the reading and writing process, such as phonological perception and short-term memory.
We analyze the development of basic capacities for learning, as well as the evolutionary development of the person to guide personalized work objectives
We design strategies adapted to each case in coordination with the family and the school, which include training in phonological awareness, the use of multisensory methods for teaching reading, and the adaptation of educational materials to facilitate understanding and access to information.
We take into account the personal and emotional development associated with learning difficulties, promoting self-esteem, well-being and quality of life.
We focus on the qualities and potentialities of the person, that is, we do not focus on the deficit, providing educational approaches that effectively use the variety of human abilities and talents.
We offer multidisciplinary services, advocating new lines of intervention according to advances in neuroscience and neuroeducation.
We rely on technology to facilitate re-education and improve academic skills
We accompany the family and the different caregiver environments through counseling and working together
